New Double Loyalty Points!

You gotta admit....NOW its officially here! Everywhere you go you hear Christmas music, see the sparkling trees and see people shopping for presents. Its CHRISTMASTIME!

We have had so many customers excited about our Double Loyalty Points! They're getting some GREAT deals. This week - Jewelry! All jewelry (well, except for clearance merchandise) is included! That means all Kameleon, all Pandora, all John Wind & all John Medeiros! We're even including the cute MOGO bracelets you love for those tweens! This department will be on double points through this Saturday, December 4th (Hey! That's Hailyn's 2nd birthday!). Points will be posted to all active accounts on Monday.

Vera Bradley is offering expedited shipping again this year. This does mean that we will need to contact Vera while you are there to place a special order (they'll be able to tell us if the item is available for immediate shipment or not). Please make sure that if you are looking for a specific Vera item you shop as early as possible.

Okay - it's official. For me the holiday season seemed to kick off when the Grinch made his first t.v. appearance for the year. Caught a little Grinch last night (Coen was very worried about what they were doing to the dog!) so I guess that means the holidays are HERE!

We had so many customers excited about the Double Loyalty Points last week. So many of you took advantage to place your holiday orders early to ensure the best gift giving possible. Yay you! This week our Double Loyalty Points continue with....

Double Loyalty Points starts today!

Ho Ho Ho!

Its not to early to start shopping - in fact...you should! To help you get more for your dollars we're offering special incentives throughout the holiday season. Each week we'll post our Double Points Specials. One week may be jewelry, another week may be holiday decor. Each week on Facebook and this blog we'll post the double points list for the week. So....here we go...

We're kicking our Double Points Days off with a bang -- VERA BRADLEY!!! Through Saturday, November 20th you'll earn twice as many loyalty points on qualifying Vera Bradley purchases (i.e. no Clearance or Sale merchandise). Points will be added on Monday, November 22nd. If an item is not in-stock and is placed on Layaway order you will also receive double points. This line only earns points through Saturday, November 20th so be sure to stop by and order early. Why the rush? We know that we can't guess exactly what you'll want (although we do try!) and that we may run out of the most popular items (or Vera will!). We need to order items as early as possible in order to try to get them in for the big day!

It's Time for our Holiday Open House!

We are SO excited about our annual Holiday Open House! The Christmas trees are going up, the garland is being strung and holiday candy is out....Mmmmm! We've had a lot of fun shopping to pick the best gifts for giving this year. Since last year we've added several new jewelry lines (John Medeiros, Kameleon, Silver Spoon) and have added to our Pandora, John Wind and fashion jewelry lines. So much fun!!!

Gifts with initials are still hot. Rather than simply restock the same things from years past we've tried to find some new ones that you'll love too.

And I'm LOVING the new pink & green ornaments on the tree behind our jewelry counter (the cupcake ornament is one of my favs!). They look so cute on the white tree - perfect for the girly girl.

December Newsletter Trivia Winner & Store Specials

Vera Bradley is offering expedited shipping for special orders on items that we may not have in stock. We do have to call them directly to find out if the item is available and with the increased call volume this call frequently takes 20-30 minutes to complete so allow plenty of time to place the order. They are receiving items daily from their manufacturing facilities but all items may not be available for immediate shipment. Please, try to order these items as quickly as possible to increase the likelihood of receiving them.

Finally, we do have several other Clearance sales on-going through the holidays. It's time to THINK PINK! We are having SO much fun coming up with ways to promote breast cancer awareness. Happy Fall! They keep saying that cooler weather is on the way - but with 90 degrees today it seems hard to believe. I'm ready for cooler weather - its been hot!

Although we've had vinyl and car monograms for a while we've been surprised lately by the number of customers who didn't realize that we carried them. Elf on the Shelf!

We had SO many customers looking for this book last year and one of my best friends recommended that I get it for Coen. We went to check it out in January at the Mart and ordered it immediately. We just got it in and I can't WAIT until Thanksgiving night to bring him out. The kit comes with an elf (you get to name him) and the story book. The elf stays in your home from somewhere around Thanksgiving until Christmas Eve. Each night he goes home to the North Pole to report to Santa on how the children are acting. So, each morning the elf is in a different position. In addition to creating a wonderful Christmas tradition this has the added benefit of improving your children's behavior as you get closer and closer to Christmas. (Of course, some of my friends have told me that their elf is a little mischievous - he makes a mess sometimes while the family is out of the house!) We've already started getting in some Christmas decor & infant pajamas and clothing (another popular request...I had no idea it was so hard to find family Christmas pajamas). We've just gotten in the new Lilly Pulitzer stationery from LifeGuard Press for Fall 2009. SO CUTE! We love the circle note stacks and the address book, but my favorite thing has got to be the big pink & green PomPoms! I'm planning to unpack a few to hang over check-out (and probably in Hailyn's room over her crib too!). They even have personalized stickers that you can use instead of gift enclosures - just attach to the top of the gift and you'll make sure your notecard never gets misplaced again. What a great idea. Back to School!

Already!?! It is so hard to believe this summer has flown by. Seems like yesterday that we were getting ready to go to Mart and now we're already back (and starting to receive some of our cool new finds!). We're in the middle of back to school and school uniforms sales - every parent's nightmare! I love seeing the cute little 4 & 5 year olds that are coming in getting their first back to school outfit. Of course, I hate the idea that Coen will be heading off in just 2 years (1 if you count 3 year old pre-K!). We do have a few unpublicized sales going on in the store right now - all of our junior clothing is 50% off as we won't be continuing to stock these sizes and we've dropped the price of our Clay Creek Mesh Backpacks to $20 through this weekend. Georgia tax free weekend restrictions state that a backpack must be less than $20 to qualify for the tax-free incentive. So, you save $6 PLUS the 7% - 'cause we think it's crazy (and probably impossible) for you to have to try to find a quality backpack for less than $20. Mom has even figured out how to embroider a name or monogram on the mesh - looks great! Don't forget that a lot of the Vera Bradley Stationery qualifies for the tax-free weekend too (student agendas, three-ring notebooks, composition notebooks, sticky notes, etc.).
Guess I'd better get back to work. Stop in and see us if you're out and about shopping for back to school. We'll be the ones pulling our hair out :)

Hi Guys!
Okay, here goes. SweetPea's is getting into the blog game - or at least we're going to try. I have no idea what I'm doing so bear with me (and send any blog advice you might have). We just thought this might be a fun, informal way to talk with our customers & friends. Of course, it will take a while to get the kinks worked out but we're planning on using this avenue to let you know about new product arrival, get feedback or recommendations on products AND have fun. Offer prizes for our bloggers, special discount days - fun stuff! The best part is, unless you want to read it you won't get bothered by extra e-mail in your inbox. Win-win - right?

So what first? Well - for this week only (through June 21st at 4pm) there is a Vera Bradley Tote give away going on.
